Anticipating SpringAh! Spring! It has to get here sooner or later. It seems as this has been a winter where the sun has wanted to hide. It has been snowy, rainy, gloomy and I am ready to see the trees begin to bud with new leaves and see the flowers start to show their faces.

I created this little note card while sitting anticipating the arrival of spring. It was completed with simple closed loose coils and placed on a background covered with decorated paper. I hope you enjoy.

Most of us began making greeting cards before we even went to school.  It was a simple project for our parents to give us that not only kept us busy, but taught us how to open our imaginations and our creativity.  Top that off with the warm feeling of accomplishment and the glow of pleasure from the person receiving the card.  There is nothing better.

As I grew older I thought it was more proper to purchase greeting cards for my loved ones.  And so I spent years.  Important events would arise and I was off to the local card shop looking for just the right words, just the right look that would make that someone feel as special as they were.  Most times I could come close but the cards were never just right.

Then I discovered the joy of making cards again!  What fun!  Finally I could say exactly what I wanted – the card could have just the right color or just the right flower.  What could be better?

Use these cards as inspirations to fire up your creativity and your imagination.  Please do not hesitate to email me or to leave a comment.  And, send me your work and I will be happy to post it.
