Isn’t it wonderful how beautiful we crafters can make ‘trash’. This cigar box was doomed to go in the trash before I got my hands on it. Now it is a beautiful creation that I use to store aspirin and such in easy reach.
The process for this one was very simple. I removed the stickers and cleaned the box. Then I cut the decorative paper the size I wanted and used Mod Podge to adhere it to the box. Once I knew it was on firmly with no wrinkles or air bubble I let it sit and dry for an hour. Then I began the process of coating the paper with mod podge. Three very thin coats with a half an wait in between each one. Finally three coats of polyurethane and it is finished.
