Was Thinking of You Kite Fold CardTea bag Folding and Quilling come together on this beautiful “Thinking of You” card. The rich blues and pinks in the kite folding tile pop against the ivory decorative paper background. The outside of the card reads “was thinking of you today …” and the inside reads “.. and just wanted you to know how important you are to me.”

I made this while exploring the art of tea bag folding. I have to admit that I have been spending more time quilling than tea bag folding, but not because I did not like it. I love the process. It is once again a matter of ‘too much to do, too little time’.

I hope you enjoy looking at this card. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Split Blues Greeting CardWho says the color blue is depressing? Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolize piety and sincerity. When you add the white - associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity - this card portrays all that is good in the world.

Anticipating SpringAh! Spring! It has to get here sooner or later. It seems as this has been a winter where the sun has wanted to hide. It has been snowy, rainy, gloomy and I am ready to see the trees begin to bud with new leaves and see the flowers start to show their faces.

I created this little note card while sitting anticipating the arrival of spring. It was completed with simple closed loose coils and placed on a background covered with decorated paper. I hope you enjoy.

Butterfly DreamsOkay! I admit it! I am still thinking about spring! Close your eyes and imagine it. The flowers are gently swaying in a soft breeze. Butterflys are flitting around, landing on one flower and then taking off again to find another treasure. We live in a beautiful world that should open our minds to the creativity that lies within.

This card was made using husking techniques as taught by Jane Jenkins in her book “Quilling Techniques and Inspiration”. I hope to have my own husking patterns here soon - but you have to crawl before you can walk.

This card can be purchased in my etsy shop.

Thinking of You Handmade Note CardThis card was created while I was thinking of my best friend in Oklahoma. Guess I will mail this to her and let her know she was being thought of.

I used simple teardrop closed loose coils and the delicate scrollwork of quilling.
